How Hypnotherapy Works

Learn About Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state in which the analytical, conscious part of your mind relaxes and becomes easily distracted. Everyone experiences a form of hypnotic trance in daily life, often during routine activities like driving a familiar route, washing dishes, or tying shoelaces. When we let our conscious thoughts wander and daydream, the unconscious mind becomes more open and receptive to communication.

What is Hypnotherapy?

As a hypnotherapist, I use this altered state of awareness to help you release unhelpful, limiting beliefs. I deeply value the profound connection between the mind and body and recognise the incredible capacity of the unconscious mind to facilitate healing—both physically and emotionally. My treatments are uniquely tailored to each individual, drawing from a distinctive blend of hypnotherapy, NLP and time line therapy.

Time line Therapy®

Time line Therapy® is a powerful therapeutic technique that works with your unconscious mind to help you release negative emotions, resolve internal conflicts, and eliminate limiting beliefs that have been holding you back. By accessing your personal time line, we can identify and reframe past experiences that influence your present behaviour and emotions, allowing you to move forward with a renewed sense of freedom and possibility.

Why is Time Line Therapy® So Powerful?

Time line Therapy® stands out because it goes beyond traditional talk therapy. It taps into the unconscious mind, where deep-seated emotions and beliefs reside. By working at this profound level, changes are often more rapid and lasting. Clients frequently report significant improvements in their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life after just a few sessions.

NLP

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a form of psychotherapy that originated as a study of communication. It offers a structured approach to transforming the way we think, act, and communicate to enhance our overall life experience.

Today, NLP is applied across diverse fields, including psychotherapy, sports science, sales and marketing, business communication, medicine, and education.

In therapeutic settings, NLP typically incorporates a combination of discussion, visualisation, and exercises that resemble hypnosis techniques.
